Hey, so...I have a voicemail from Jerry saying you're my new housemate. Welcome to Driftcrest where apparently people spend a couple weeks as statues and then suddenly it's summer?

I'm Gwen.

Action: after Gwen gets his keys back.

Gwen already decided she was going to tell Hawk about being Ghost Spider. She didn’t want a relationship where he didn’t know that part of her. And while she was aware it might shake things up a bit, maybe even probably mess things up a bit, Gwen was pretty determined to tell him. Some day.

Some day soon.

What she wasn’t expecting, however, was the series of events that lead her to outing herself. She wasn’t expecting Hawk to go off on Derek like he did. She wasn’t expecting to go skulking around the sewers trying to find the keys and she certainly wasn’t expecting to be attacked by some big, spider crab monster in the sewers, leaning her bruised, bitten and with parts of her suit bitten through.

And after that had happened, she just wanted to get in and get a shower. But, to continue the trend of Gwen running into moments she wasn’t expecting, the one thing she was expecting least of all was Hawk being in her room as she crawled in through the window and stuck to the wall to close it quietly.

Oh, god. He probably woke up and found she wasn’t in bed next to her and probably came looking for her. Well, shit. She did this to herself, didn’t she?

With her Ghost Spider mask off and her hood down, Gwen watched Hawk for a moment, his keys held tightly in her fist before letting them show.

“I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t. I knew I could do something to get your keys back, so I did and...you probably have a million questions.”

This wasn’t the some day she wanted.

action: 05/13/31 - Evening, some time after gwen gets home from work

[ Gwen and Hawk had the occasional day where they couldn't see each other much due to schedules. But that was fine. Gwen had been working on this card all day. And yeah, she's aware how cheesy it is. She doesn't care. She just likes seeing her boyfriend laugh. So after taping this to his bedroom door, Gwen heads to her own room to play video games and wait out him finding it. ]

text: 05/28 - early afternoon

Hi. I love you. I don't know if I said that this morning, but I do.

Can you help me with something? You know more about this than I do. The guy at Mystic ink says he can tattoo people with healing like mine, and it won't mess up the tattoo. He also claims he can do tattoos that act like tracking devices in case someone is hard to find? Which...given how this place seems to be? Might not be the worst idea.

Can you help me figure out a tattoo? The youngest a person can be to get a tattoo at Mystic is sixteen.

Hey, my brother, Sam, just...I want to say had a baby? It was the baby in the pod They got her out alive and kicking. He needs baby stuff.

There's a couple stores in the mall that might be useful. Wanna go on a scavenging date?

[ It's the sound of the alarm on Gwens phone waking her up, a small groan/whine coming from the girl as she reaches over to slap her alarm off. She doesn't actually have work today, and forgot to turn the alarm off. She and Hawk had gotten fairly well caught up in...well no one was home with them and they'd been dating for a while.

These things were just bound to happen.

Still, Nacho heard the alarm and he bounds over, nosing at Gwen's face who sputters and tries to keep her face out of the dogs reach. ]

Okay. Okay! I'm up! Stop!

[ As irritated as the words might be? Gwen's amused. She adores her boyfriends dog and if Nacho wants out, Nacho gets let out.

But there's a problem. Or...there will be. Gwen leans over to kiss Hawks cheek before turning and setting her feet on the ground, twisting her back some to pop it just a bit and frowning because she feels off-center and she can't figure out why.

Wearing her boyfriends t-shirt and her own sleeping shorts, Gwen gets out of bed, takes two steps towards the bedroom door and in an erratic flash of colors that are too bright and accompanied by the electric whine of something shorting out, Gwen hits the ground with a pained yell.

She's glitching. God, help her. She's Glitching. It lasts for a few seconds, and the entire time, Nacho is trying to wake Hawk up with panicked barks and pawing at the bed.

When the Glitching stops, Gwen stays on the floor, half curled into a shivering ball as her body slowly resets itself.

Oh. Oh, this was bad. This was so bad, and there was a cut on her head where her forehead met the corner of a desk. The bad thing about that is it's not healing. She won't notice until it's pointed out, but it's not healing and Gwen is in pain and terrified. ]

action: july 2nd. Late evening

There was a lot Gwen was dealing with and it was actually kind of exhausting. Unpredictable glitching and the minor injuries sustained therein, for starters, but that wasn't the worst of it at all.

The worst of it was the memories she'd gotten, of moments she had no right seeing, she's sure of it. And some of them, she didn't even know what to do with. Like the one of Hawk and Demetri and that awful moment when...

Oh, she knew about that. She knew because Hawk told her about that fight and how he'd hurt his friend so badly. But having that memory shoved into her head when she and her boyfriend had both glitched at the same time earlier this evening while cleaning up after dinner.

That wasn't fair at all, universe. Not to Hawk. It felt sort of shitty, and she'd kind of been quiet after. Processing.

She wasn't judging her boyfriend at all for it, and it didn't change how she felt about him. Not negatively, at least. She'd felt how bad he felt after, all that pressure from the other Cobras around him, and that need to fit in, however it happened.

But him not knowing she'd seen it, that felt dishonest. So after he gets out of the shower and crawls into bed, Gwen curls up against him and speaks.

"Do me a favor, and don't hate me. But...I got one of your memories today." She's not to happy about that, Hawk.
