I asked the Mystic that same question and he said it'd be like following a psychic breadcrumb trail or like...

You know how one of my abilities is just knowing where I need to be without knowing why? With the way he described it it sounded a lot like that. Like just knowing where to go. A sort of buzz under the skin.

Sounds a bit like supernatural GPS, but considering how this place can be sometimes? I'll take it.

[ He was so sure and so steady right now, while Gwen felt like she was falling apart. It definitely was a change and it definitely helped her feel better.

She nods, agreeing that it was a good idea, but then she moves, crawling into his lap and curling her arms around his shoulders and pressing her face against his neck.

She felt incredibly broken right now, and just wanted to be held for a moment or two. That was it. ]

Gwen being so quiet was killing Hawk. Not just because he missed talking to his closest friend but because he needed to tell her something and he could tell that she was kind of… withdrawn. He knew that if he told her he needed to talk she’d listen, that’s the type of person she was, but he wanted to give her some space when she was like this.

Or at least honor her being quiet, giving space was hard because they were both very tactile people and if they were around each other it would be weird to NOT be touching the other person.

So when she crawled into bed with him be breathed a sigh of relief when she started talking. “Don’t hate me” wasn’t a great way to start a conversation but Hawk was pretty sure Gwen would never do anything that would make him hate her.

“Gwen… babe, I would never hate you. Especially not for that since you couldn’t control it,” he said. Not that he was thrilled about what she’d seen but she already knew he’d done that. “I’m sorry you had to see that though. I was… super shitty. Suuuuuuper shitty. I’m lucky he forgave me.”

[Hawk was happy to hold her. Gwen was the strongest person he knew and she probably didn’t feel that way right now but he wasn’t worried for her. He wished that it would be easy for her to deal with this but he knew that she would. It just sucked. A lot. A lot a lot a lot. Fortunately Hawk was pretty good at dealing with stuff that sucked, having sucked pretty hard for a portion of his life just before coming here.]

At least it answers one big question… the fact that you’re cute doesn’t come from your spider powers.
