Oh, oh the upside down kiss was really nice and he could kinda see wanting to do that again. It was different but not weird or awkward but how many people got to kiss someone like this?

When she mentioned asking him to leave he suddenly realized that yeah, she couldn’t exactly change with him in the room. As much as he liked Gwen and wanted to see her naked (he was a teenage guy after all) they weren’t ready for that. Especially not when she was hurt.

“Right, yeah. I’ll go get some ice packs and get a movie ready and you bring the first aid kit,” he said, pausing for a moment before grinning and adding, “Love you.”

"I love you, too. See you in your room in ten?" She needs time to shower, get dressed, throw her probably ruined costume in the wash. She turns to step into the bathroom but then backs out and rushes over to Hawk, kissing him once again. Just a quick press of her lips against his.

"Sorry. I really enjoy that. But, yeah...shower. Your room in a few minutes."

And she vanishes, heading to the bathroom to grab that hot shower.

When she finds Hawk again, shes's in her most comfortable pajamas. And she's amused at how big a lie it is. The bruises from earlier have actually faded mostly. She looks a lot better than she did coming home, at least.

In her arms, the hooded blanket Hawk got her when she was recovering from being a statue.

"What movie'd you pick out?"

[ It's the sound of the alarm on Gwens phone waking her up, a small groan/whine coming from the girl as she reaches over to slap her alarm off. She doesn't actually have work today, and forgot to turn the alarm off. She and Hawk had gotten fairly well caught up in...well no one was home with them and they'd been dating for a while.

These things were just bound to happen.

Still, Nacho heard the alarm and he bounds over, nosing at Gwen's face who sputters and tries to keep her face out of the dogs reach. ]

Okay. Okay! I'm up! Stop!

[ As irritated as the words might be? Gwen's amused. She adores her boyfriends dog and if Nacho wants out, Nacho gets let out.

But there's a problem. Or...there will be. Gwen leans over to kiss Hawks cheek before turning and setting her feet on the ground, twisting her back some to pop it just a bit and frowning because she feels off-center and she can't figure out why.

Wearing her boyfriends t-shirt and her own sleeping shorts, Gwen gets out of bed, takes two steps towards the bedroom door and in an erratic flash of colors that are too bright and accompanied by the electric whine of something shorting out, Gwen hits the ground with a pained yell.

She's glitching. God, help her. She's Glitching. It lasts for a few seconds, and the entire time, Nacho is trying to wake Hawk up with panicked barks and pawing at the bed.

When the Glitching stops, Gwen stays on the floor, half curled into a shivering ball as her body slowly resets itself.

Oh. Oh, this was bad. This was so bad, and there was a cut on her head where her forehead met the corner of a desk. The bad thing about that is it's not healing. She won't notice until it's pointed out, but it's not healing and Gwen is in pain and terrified. ]

[Hawk was dead to the world. He and Gwen had stayed up late... spending quality couple time with each other so he was in the sort of deep sleep that only teenagers seemed to be capable of. Even Gwen's phone going off and Nacho the-best-dog-in-the-whole-wide-world barking didn't really wake him. He was used to both and had kind of trained himself to sleep through stuff like that.

Until Nacho's efforts became a lot more serious that is.]

Wha? Nacho... what? I'm up you assh-

GWEN!

[All traces of exhaustion left his body when he saw his girlfriend curled up in a ball shivering on the ground. Leaping off the bed he jumped over to where she was and just curled himself protectively around her.]

What is it? What happened? Gwen what happened?

[ She as still feeling fairly weakened from the Glitch. More than she remembers, which she finds really odd. Troubling, if she was going to be honest. When Hawk curls himself around her, she presses herself against him with a soft, mildly panicked groan. ]

I Glitched.

[ She'd already explained about that. About how bad something like that was. So he can probably understand why that's worrying her. There is a decent cut above her left eye that's bleeding. It should have stopped by now, what with her healing abilities. But it hasn't. ]

I got out of bed because Nacho needed to go out and suddenly I was Glitching.

[ She's with her boyfriend. She'll be fine. She doesn't sound fine, though. She sounds worried. Mildly terrified, even. ]

[There were a million things that Hawk wanted to ask her, first of which was how it was possible for her to suddenly start glitching. She'd been here for over a year and been perfectly fine but he knew pointing that out and asking questions she didn't have the answer to weren't going to help.]

It's going to be okay. I've got you. You dealt with this before, we'll figure it out.

[Hawk was really fucking scared right now but he wasn't going to show it. One of them had to try and keep it together.]

We should get that cut on your head bandaged though, it's bleeding pretty bad.

[ That's why she loves him. Because he knows her well enough to know that asking why something like this was happening, when she had no answer was a bad idea.

At the mention of a cut on her head, she looks at him in confusion. Reaching up to touch a spot that's just registering as sore, she hisses in pain and pulls her hand away. ]

I don't get it. I don't remember doing that, and I don't understand why it's still bleeding.

Head wounds bleed a lot.

[Hawk knew Gwen healed fast but he had never timed it before or anything. He'd seen her come home with some pretty serious injuries that were partially healed but it wasn't like he'd had a stopwatch going from when it happened to when he saw them.

[ Gwen shakes her head a moment, regretting the action and closing her eyes tightly. That was a dizzy spell and she wasn't fond. Nacho whines some and heads over to the pair, sitting beside Hawk and whining again. ]

Babe...they're usually healed by now.

[ She takes a moment to close her eyes, tilting her head just a bit to listen. A small frown appears on her face and her shoulders slump some with realization. ]

I don't...I don't think I have my powers right now, Hawk. I can't hear your heartbeat.

[ That was her favorite sound, but now it was missing. ]

There was a lot Gwen was dealing with and it was actually kind of exhausting. Unpredictable glitching and the minor injuries sustained therein, for starters, but that wasn't the worst of it at all.

The worst of it was the memories she'd gotten, of moments she had no right seeing, she's sure of it. And some of them, she didn't even know what to do with. Like the one of Hawk and Demetri and that awful moment when...

Oh, she knew about that. She knew because Hawk told her about that fight and how he'd hurt his friend so badly. But having that memory shoved into her head when she and her boyfriend had both glitched at the same time earlier this evening while cleaning up after dinner.

That wasn't fair at all, universe. Not to Hawk. It felt sort of shitty, and she'd kind of been quiet after. Processing.

She wasn't judging her boyfriend at all for it, and it didn't change how she felt about him. Not negatively, at least. She'd felt how bad he felt after, all that pressure from the other Cobras around him, and that need to fit in, however it happened.

But him not knowing she'd seen it, that felt dishonest. So after he gets out of the shower and crawls into bed, Gwen curls up against him and speaks.

"Do me a favor, and don't hate me. But...I got one of your memories today." She's not to happy about that, Hawk.

Hey, we’re gonna get through this. You’ve been human before. We’ll figure this out.

[He wasn’t sure how they were going to do it but they’d figure out something. They had each other and for Hawk that meant they could get through anything.]

Let’s get that cut cleaned up and bandaged, okay? Then we’ll see if this is happening to anyone else.
